Summer is finally here! And with it, come the fruits and vegetables of the season. Between peppers, cucumbers, watermelon and raspberries, we clearly don't know where to turn. To take full advantage of them, Kidlee has prepared a few summer recipe ideas to make with the kids!

Strawberries in chocolate 

An easy to make dessert with guaranteed success. For this recipe, you will need hulled strawberries and dark or white chocolate, the choice is yours! For more extravagance, you can even use both chocolates.

All you have to do is heat the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. And once it's liquid, you have to trick the strawberries one by one and place them on a sheet of baking paper. Now we wait for it to cool! For more speed, you can put them in the fridge. Also, you can decorate them with dashes of chocolate.

This recipe can also be used for other fruits like bananas or raspberries, don't hesitate to try.

Watermelons that are in great shape 

Here you will need a cookie cutter, a knife and a watermelon. Yes, just that! 

First, you'll have to cut watermelon slices wide enough. Then, you cut them with a cookie cutter, star or heart, the choice is yours! You can eat them like this or make skewers with other fruits, especially blueberries.

While the watermelon scraps will take a turn in the blender to get some good juice.

A summery dish ready in 30 minutes!

Here's a quick and easy recipe to get vegetables to eat. For this one, you will need some tomatoes, eggplant and mozzarella. 

First, cut the vegetables and the mozzarella into slices. Then, take a dish and arrange the ingredients in the following order: a slice of tomato, a slice of eggplant and a slice of mozzarella, until it goes all the way around the pan. Finally, a drizzle of olive oil, salt, pepper and herbs and head for the oven for 30 minutes at 180 degrees.

It is a salad composed of a variety of vegetables and cheeses. So, you will need tomatoes, cucumber, red bell pepper, feta cheese and black olives. But also olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper for the seasoning. Find all the steps here.
