Halloween crafts : 4 ideas to realize with the children

by | Oct 27, 2021 | News, Do It Yourself

The Fear Festival is coming up and it's time to think about activities to do with the little monsters on this occasion! Kidlee has prepared a small selection of Halloween craft ideas to do with the kids for a great family time.

A soft ghost!

For this realization, you will only need 4 small things:

  • Cardboard
  • Cotton
  • A chisel
  • Glue

First, start by cutting out the cardboard in the shape of a ghost. If you don't think you can do this blindly, you can always print a ghost off the internet, lay the sheet down and cut out the top. Now that the background is there, it's time to shape it! Take small cotton balls and glue them one by one on the cardboard. Continue until your cardboard is completely covered with cotton. Now you have your soft white ghost! Afterwards, you can always add some modifications, like eyes with two black buttons.

Halloween crafts: a classic, the witch's hat

At the same time, if you forgot to shop for the ultimate wizard costume piece for your child, luckily you just stumbled upon this DIY. For this one, you'll need a plate made of cardboard, of cardboard, of paint of your choice, scissors, liquid glue and elastic thread. Of course, don't forget the glitter and stars!

First, paint the plate in the chosen color and form a cone with the cardboard. Then, you will have to cut out the center of the plate to insert the cone. Now that you have your hat, all you have to do is decorate it! Paint here, glitter there, why not feathers! And to make sure that it stays on the head of the little ones, don't forget to put an elastic thread on both sides.

A monstrous chamboule-tout!

This time, we propose a super fun and ecological activity. After cleaning your cans, you can ask the children to transform them into monsters. It's easy, you just have to provide them with paint, felt pens, fabrics... Anything you think is useful for them to express their creativity and make a special Halloween chamboule-tout! Once the monsters are there, all you have to do is put them in a pyramid and bring a ball so that the kids can shake them up!

Halloween crafts: photophores

We continue with a second idea of ecological activity except that this time, you will have to take out your glass jars. For the base, you will need acrylic paint and markers, after that you can give free rein to the desires of children! We just insist on the layer of paint which must be very thin to let the light pass. To watch the tutorial, it is here.

This candle holder will be a great replacement for the bedside lamp during Halloween week.

If you don't have glass jars available, but you like this idea, you can always use your bakery bags. Yes the brown bags there all crumpled up that will still need to be defrosted a bit. The kids can decorate them with markers or something. Finally, you will only have to put in a little sand to hold the candle.
